Project website
Presented in three stages to the market, the Crafted Projects Collective took over a site that multiple previous developers had struggled with, applying our trademark creativity and innovative approach to the planning, urban design and ultimate execution.
Stage one involved 24 apartments that were cleverly designed to live more like townhouses. These were completed in 2022. We then moved onto a standalone pair of townhouses to start off stage 2 (also 2022), before launching 22 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom homes (2023/2024). Stage 3 will follow.
The site involved complex engineering, extensive civil construction and clever design - hence the expert multi-unit design practice of Solari.

Design Statement.
"Brooklyn Tiketike is a celebration of Wellington’s fantastic and unique topography. It is exciting to design homes that respond directly to the opportunity the context provides. Each home is designed to capture beautiful cross valley views such that all have extensive long-distance outlooks. As a collection they balance privacy with a sense of community connection through the shared landscape space. The homes are designed as light-filled modern places for an easy and enjoyable way to live."
James Solari: Director Solari Architects, BArch (Victoria University) Hons, NZIA, Board Member Urban Development Institute of New Zealand.
